There will be a UBR match held the first Sunday of each Month starting in May. We will meet at the 50-yard benches beginning at 11am and give out targets and bench assignments, go over match rules and hold a safety brief before the range goes hot at noon.
Unfortunately, at this time these matches will be limited to DCGC members and their 2 guests not to exceed 21 total competitors.
This format is very friendly for the new shooter yet still challenging for the most experienced benchrest competitor, offering 4 rifle classes:
Plinkers: Any rifle that has a current MSRP of less than $600 modifications limited to recrowning of barrels, action bedding and trigger upgrades.
Factory: No price limit, must have been a mass-produced rifle with its original stock, action, barrel modifications limited to recrowning, triggers and action bedding.
Modified: Any mass-produced rifle that has been re-barreled or restocked/chassis, had weights added, tuners or other muzzle devices. No 1 piece rests.
Unlimited: As long as it's a .22lr no limits.
Match is 4 cards, each card has unlimited sighters and 6 shots for score once you declare you are going for record. So an entire match can be shot using less than 1 box of ammunition and matches run relatively quick in comparison to other BR formats.
Cost is $4 for the targets and fees to the UBR sanctioning body.
